Could Coriolus mushroom be one of the “holy grails” of Lyme treatment?

(If you missed last week’s post, read it first…today’s post builds on last week’s post)

In my book, Freedom From Lyme Disease (and my other books too for that matter), we talk a lot about the concept of peeling layers off the onion in order to heal.

We certainly don’t want to peel layers too quickly, as the process can be intense and symptomatic.

But later in the recovery process, we often have the opposite problem: we are unable to peel layers quickly enough. Often, Lyme sufferers face months and years where they are at a standstill with the disease. They are still infected, but treatments they try to use just don’t do anything. No herx reaction, no improvement, a plateau.

Sometimes, switching things up and using new antimicrobials can catapult a person past this stalemate, but in many cases, this doesn’t work. Months pass. Maybe years. A person may be somewhat functional, which is nice (the disease usually isn’t out of control during a stalemate), but the infection still lingers and complete health is not attained.

It is for this reason that treatments which have the capability to accelerate peeling layers of the onion are extremely valuable; I tend to think of them as the holy grail of Lyme treatment. Of course, you only want to use them in moderation, because as we mentioned, peeling layers too quickly is undesirable. But when it’s time to use one, they can be life savers, getting the recovery process back on track.

The only problem is, these treatments are few and far between. There are many treatments we know of which can attack the infections when the peeling process is underway, but not many which can actually initiate the peeling process. That’s why finding treatments which accomplish this can represent a valuable, rare resource. I mention a few of these rare treatments in my book.

I believe Coriolus Mushroom, June’s supplement of the month, is one such treatment. Under the right circumstances, I believe Coriolus can clear away the puffy, inflammatory, stopped-up blood and other bioterrain conditions which bacterial colonies use as hiding places. Once this junk is out of the way, the immune system more readily attacks the infections. This change in conditions not only permits the immune system to attack infections, but it also tends to loosen up the bacterial colonies themselves, opening the door for continued peeling of the layers and the productive use of various other Lyme treatments.

In fact, some Lyme sufferers have reported that after years of experiencing no Herxheimer reactions with rife therapy, they all of a sudden begin herxing with rife again, after use of Coriolus mushroom.

So, if you have experienced a plateau in healing, Coriolus mushroom may be worth exploring.
