Each serving of fruit or vegetable lowers overall risk by 4%.

The findings also suggested that people who consumed at least eight portions of fruits and vegetables per day had a 22 percent lower risk of fatal ischemic heart disease compared with those in the study who consumed three or fewer servings per day. In fact, the data shows that EVERY SERVING lowered risk by 4% and even a medium size apple counted as two servings! So an apple a day DOES help keep the doctor away.

Diseases of the heart and circulation are so common and the laity is so well acquainted with the major symptoms resulting from these disorders that patients and occasionally physicians, erroneously attribute many noncardiac complaints to cardiovascular disease. Ischemia, or inadequate myocardial perfusion, is manifest most frequently as chest discomfort.
Neuralgic amyotrophy is a disabling disease involving the brachial plexus, with attacks of severe shoulder and arm pain followed by weakness and sensory involvement.1 Several observations support the hypothesis of an immune-mediated genesis. First, brachial plexus biopsies of NA patients in the (sub)acute stage show inflammatory changes.2 3 Second, antiganglioside antibodies are reported to be associated with NA.1 4 Third, several immune-triggering events, most frequently infections (50%), are known to precede NA.1–4 Various micro-organisms preceding NA have been reported (see table 1) but not yet B henselae.

Now finally there is research to back this up and with my FIGHT program and getting off gluten and dairy etc and detoxing. The extremely high levels he had to keep using I am sure could be modified down much sooner. Taking things like probiotics and evening primrose oil with Omega 3 etc all make asthma easier to control and always keep on
hand some Quercetin with Bromelain, as in high doses this permits someone to cut the lawn even if they have Significant grass sensitivities.

Abstract

A case of 65-year-old male is reported who presented with myalgias, headache, and fever. He subsequently developed myocarditis and was diagnosed to have anaplasmosis on peripheral blood smear. He was treated with doxycycline for 30 days. A coronary angiogram done after recovery showed normal epicardial arteries. The case illustrates the importance of a careful examination of the peripheral smear, with a high index of clinical suspicion, which led to prompt treatment and complete recovery of the patient

Ehrlichiosis, first discovered before 1910, has been recognized to cause human infection since 1986.1 It belongs to Rickettsiaceae family. Ehrlichiae are small, obligate intracellular bacteria that grow in cytoplasmic vacuoles to form clusters called morulae. Three distinct species cause human ehrlichiosis. E. chaffeensis predominantly affects the monocytes and is hence termed human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME) while E. phagocytophilium, and E. ewingii cause human granulocytic ehrlichiosis.2E. phagocytophiliumE. equi are now recognized as the same organism and has been renamed Anaplasma phagocytophilum; the disease is now known as Human Granulocytic Anaplasmosis (HGA). Both HME and HGA share similar clinical and laboratory features and are treated with the same antimicrobials.
