Halloween Poem

“A Halloween Story”

Listen my children and you shall hear
Of a Halloween story that’s rather queer
It’ matters not it you live near or far
… It will get you where ever you are!

This tiny creature of day or night
WIll sink its clinchers into you and take a bite
Like a vampire sucking your blood with all its might
Til you find you’re not feeling quite right

Then with out you knowing
You find into someone else you are growing
A Halloween story for days of yore
You’re nothing like you were before

And off to the doctor you go
To find out if there’s a problem and they say “NO”!
And you hear the very thing you dread
They tell you that “Its all in your head”

When acutally the fact of the matter is true
There are tiny monsters living inside of you
And the fact that will really give you a chill
They burrow inside of you like a tiny drill

Drilling-biting- living- breeding
It’s on your body they are feeding
Your brain -your heart- your blood- your liver
Doesn’t the thought of it just make you shiver?

That the reason you are so very ill
Is because it’s on your body they make their meal
Until you are pale as a ghost
It is the parasite- and you are the host

So heed little children to what I say
Like a vampire its out there stalking its prey
And I promise before the day is through
It will claim its next victim- It could be you!

So you shudder to think that anything
Like that could ever happen to you?
For those of us who have Lyme
THAT STORY IS TRUE!!!!

Great new poem from Laura Moore

The New Face Of Lyme
You say that Lyme Disease
Is not actually real
That people make this stuff up
And it is not how they feel? You say that Lyme Disease
Is just a means to an end
For people who want attention
Well YOU are in for a rude awakening ,my friendWAKE UP! Lyme is real
And it is here to stay
Like a rude uninvited guest
And it is not going away

You think that Lyme is not here
But way off in a far away land
That is because Lyme is something
You just don’t understand

It could be your neighbor
RIght across your back yard
If you are looking to find Lyme
It wont be very hard

It could happen to any
Of the number of people you meet
Like that person you see
Walking across the street

Who if she happened to tell you
She was very sick you wouldn’t believe
But don’t be fooled by outward appearances
For looks can decieve

For what you don’t know
And what she does well to hide
Is how horrible she feels
Way down deep inside

And Lyme is out there lurking
Like a silent criminal in almost every place
That will drain you of life and steal your soul
And wipe that doubting smirk right off of your face

You need to face facts
Cause no matter what you do
Take a good look in the mirror
The new face of Lyme could be YOU!

A Day In The Life Of Chronic Illness

Linda’s comments:  This was written by a Lyme friend of mine….it is beautiful and speaks volumns…  Please read the rest of her poems in the Poem section….Thank you Laura this is beautiful….

Excerpt:

I know that there’ll be a better day

When the clouds break and the sun shines my way

When all my troubles are kept at bay…

But that day is not today

I know that better times are ahead

When I will feel like getting out of bed

When my body wont weigh so heavy like lead…

But for now those are just words to be said

I know there will be a better time

When I wont spend my life living on a dime

And every moment I’ll be feeling fine…

But of “better days” I have seen no sign

I know that there are battles to be won

Like a stroll on the beach in the bright hot sun

Or going shopping with my daughters and having some fun…

But of victories I have not seen a single one

But still I keep pressing on each day

Hoping a cure will come my way

And all that happened in my adversity….

Will one day be just a sad memeory

So here’s to “better days” ahead

For all of us whose lives are led

By the hope that all the dreams that be…

WILL ONE DAY BE REALITY!

Inspiring poem

“Be”

Be understanding to your enemies,

Be loyal to your friends.

Be strong enough to face the world

each day.

Be weak enough to know you cannot

do everything alone.

Be generous to those who need your help.

Be frugal with what you need yourself.

Be wise enough to know that you do

not know everything.

Be foolish enough to believe in

miracles

Be willing to share your joys

Be willing to share the sorrows of

others

Be a leader when you see a path

others have missed.

Be a follower when you are shrouded

by the mists of uncertainty.

Be the first to congratulate an

opponent who succeeds

Be the last to criticize a colleague

who fails.

Be sure where your next step will fall,

so that you will not stumble.

Be sure of your final destination, in

case you are going the wrong way.

Be loving to those who love you.

Be loving to those who do not love

you, and they may change.

Above all, be yourself.

Excerpt:

I have Lyme or so they say
And I had an ordianry life
Till this silent lurking monster
Crawled out of the bushes and took it away

Beautiful, must see!

The Lord’s prayer –  ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

Turn your speakers on. Click on the picture and read the narrative.

Absolutely beautiful and I humbly agree with the message.
The first time as you will be reading….THEN go back run it again and just stare at the image and feel the power of GOD fill your heart and soul.  Very moving and inspirational.
