Fiber & Cardiovascular Health with Comments from Linda, Dr. Gordon

Linda’s comment:  This is all part of the FIGHT protocol…however, I do take other things added to this like a good probiotic, etc., etc., etc.

Dr. Gordon’s Comments: You are not taking enough fiber to keep your intestinal flora happy unless you are on Beyond Fiber. With the epidemic of food sensitivities today just consuming a great probiotic is not enough, as you must feed the new flora. I hope you will learn more about stabilized rice bran with artichoke and EDTA, as found in Beyond Fiber!

This has the ideal ratio of soluble to insoluble fiber, and since everyone on treat is detoxing heavy metals everyday of their life while on my FIGHT program please learn to stop enterohepatic reuptake of toxins!  You must have active detoxing fiber content in the intestine 24/7. I do that with my Power Drink and Zeolite. My Power Drink includes MACA, which is an ideal GLUCOSINOLATE, doing much more than broccoli does, as this also stabilizes hormone levels in men and women. It also includes Organic Greens, Beyond Fiber and BioEn’R-G’y C along with daily zeolite, ACZ to start then ZeoGold.

I hope you warn patients who are not responding to your programs that the devil is in the details. Without the above they risk just moving the heavy metals from the right eye to the left eye! 

There is no substitute for more fiber but this is not cellulose or psyllium, this is based on the most nutrient dense food you can find, Stabilized Rice Bran. This is providing Beta Sitosterol and nutrients like gamma oryzanol, octocosinol etc, as well as high levels of inositol and other B vitamins, as nutrients while acting to help toxins keep moving out of the body. My patients understand all this because they see the acne and bad skin clear up within weeks so they stay on the Power Drink and will not go without the added fiber.

Let’s remember TOXINS NEED TO BE ESCORTED all the way OUT OF THE BODY,  not just to the liver and then dumped into the intestine! Cardiovascular disease or heart disease is a class of diseases that involve the heart or blood vessels (arteries and veins). Other identified factors associated with increased risk for cardiovascular disease include physical inactivity, sleep problems, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity, excessive intake of alcohol, thrombotic and fibrinolytic factors, elevated homocysteine levels, certain infections and inflammation, exogenously administered estrogens and androgens, certain psychosocial factors, increased fasting glucose. and frequency of migraines. The synergism of the presence of multiple risk factors must also be considered.

Dietary fiber is a general term that refers to a wide variety of compounds from plants that are resistant to the digestive enzymes produced by humans. Because dietary fiber is resistant to digestive enzymes, it is not broken down or absorbed, which means it does not provide calories or energy to the body. In general, high fiber diets are associated with significantly reduced risks of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and all cause mortality. It is generally recommended that Americans should strive to achieve a total dietary fiber intake of 25 to 30 grams/day, which should preferentially come from foods, not supplements. However, dietary surveys indicate that dietary fiber intake among adults in the United States averages about 15 grams/day, or approximately half the recommended amount.

Bisphenol A (BPA) Contaminating Our Food

quite a few reactions from Truvia.  Pure stevia is fine but Truvia is 
made by Coke, and has chemicals.  It is sweetened with Erythritol and 
has added an ingredient of stevia only.  In fact, I did an expose on 
it which was shown in France.   You can be sure if Coke and Pepsi 
have anything to do with sweeteners we have no way of assuring

Also, what worries me is aspartame and MSG are hidden in artificial 
and natural flavors.  As a heart patient you have  to be absolutely

is addictive and sells lots of pop.  So unless somebody analyzes 
Truvia we have no idea what is causing people to have all these 
reactions from it.  The reactions you describe are exactly like 
aspartame which causes chemical hypersensitization.  One man got off 
it and got well, and then later was given a cookie sweetened with 
aspartame and had tachycardia, fast heart rate, so bad they had to 
stop his heart to save his life.

I would stay away from artificial sweeteners.  Just Like Sugar is 
okay because its food and not additives, just chicory used 70 years 
to improve the health of diabetics.  There have been no reactions to 
it or complaints.  Stevia that you get from a health food store is 
fine as long as it does not  contain additives.  In Brazil they even 
add aspartame to it.  Until aspartame is removed from planet earth we 
can’t be sure where its hidden.  Somebody needs to analyze Truvia 
because there are far too many complaints.  I’m glad you have not 
knowingly used aspartame.  Below my signature is the Aspartame

prove useful to you.  The detox is very helpful.

Chronic Illness in US Kids Has Increased

Double the number of children with chronic health conditions from 12.5 to 26% in just the past 8 years. At that rate, it can double again in another 8 years and the health care crisis will be upon us and the costs can bankrupt everyone. What are the causes of this epidemic of poor health?  I hope all of you know by now, it is not a deficiency of drugs!

This paper incriminates the obvious issues about life style. Note that they cannot dare mention the increasing number of vaccinations being administered to children in the United States and also cannot mention lead, mercury and the long list of toxins proven to be in every child from birth.

We need a new medical paradigm that recognized the causes of illness rather than suppressing the symptoms with dangerous drugs.

Please go to Google and view TEN AMERICANS video. Once you see this, you will want anyone that you love who is planning on a pregnancy to learn detoxing and my FIGHT program so that their child has a chance to really be healthy when born.

So just add these two ignored contributors, vaccines and toxin overload to the obvious diet and related life style issues they are willing to mention here. Note to get published they must stay politically correct so fast food gets mentioned but not toxins or vaccinations. This is their comment about the terrible report about the health of children in our country today.

Now you can understand why a health care plan for everyone will be very expensive, as they will only be cleaning up the mess the above factors cause and never shutting off the ongoing contribution to this epidemic of chronic health conditions.

February 16, 2010 — The rate of chronic health conditions among children in the United States increased from 12.8% in 1994 to 26.6% in 2006, particularly for asthma, obesity, and behavior and learning problems, according to results of a new prospective study published in the February 17 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
“Understanding prevalence and dynamics of chronic conditions on a national scale is important when designing health policy, making accurate clinical predictions, and targeting interventions to prevent chronic conditions,” write Jeanne Van Cleave, MD, from MassGeneral Hospital for Children, Boston, Massachusetts, and colleagues.
Patterns of how these health conditions have changed have not been widely examined, the authors note. The aim of this study was to examine fluctuations in the prevalence of obesity and other chronic conditions over time.

The investigators used data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth-Child (NLSY) Cohort (1988 – 2006) to estimate changes in prevalence, incidence, and rates of remission of obesity, asthma, other physical conditions, and behavior and learning problems in 3 consecutive cohorts of children in the United States.

The children were 2 through 8 years old at the beginning of each study period, and each cohort was followed up for 6 years. Cohort 1, followed up from 1988 to 1994, consisted of 2337 children, cohort 2 consisted of 1759 children and was followed up from 1994 to 2000, and cohort 3 consisted of 905 children and was followed up from 2000 to 2006.
Health conditions were reported by the parents and included any condition that limited activities or schooling or required medicine, special equipment, or specialized health services and that lasted at least 12 months.

Despite the common observation that obesity runs in families, genetic research shows that the habits you inherit from your family are more important than the genes you inherit. Obesity genes account for only five percent of all weight problems. Then, we have to wonder, what causes the other 95 percent of weight problems? 

We are seeing an epidemic of obesity in America today. It is the single most important public health issue facing us. If genes do not account for obesity, perhaps it is our high-fat diet that is to blame. That has been the common belief in our society since nutritional low fat guidelines were pushed upon us in the 1970’s. It seems logical that eating fat makes you fat. Fat contains nine calories per gram, so it would seem that eating more fat (and more calories) would make you gain weight. But that’s not what the science reveals.
Pioneering research by Harvard Medical School’s David Ludwig reveals the reason that low-fat diets do not work — and identifies the true cause of obesity for most Americans. Dr. Ludwig’s research explains the real reasons 70 percent of Americans are overweight. In the 1980’s not one state had an obesity rate over 20 percent. In 2010, ONLY one state has an obesity rate UNDER 20 percent. This is not a genetic problem.

What the Research Tells Us about Dietary Fat
In a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (i) Dr. Ludwig correctly points out that careful review of all the studies on dietary fat and body fat — such as those done by Dr. Walter Willett of the Harvard School of Public Health — have shown that dietary fat is not a major determinant of body fat. 

Let me repeat that. Dietary fat is not a major determinant of body fat.
The Women’s Health Initiative, which is the largest clinical trial of diet and body weight, found that 50,000 women on low-fat diets had no significant weight loss. Yet another study looked at people who followed four different diets for 12 months — and found no dramatic differences between those who followed low-fat, low-carb and very- low-carb diets. 
The question then is, why aren’t we seeing any significant effects or differences from these various diets? The main reason, Dr. Ludwig suggests, is that we are looking for answers in the wrong place.

Bisphenol A – Comments from Dr. Gordon and Research Paper

Toxins work in many ways. We can now better understand the causes behind our epidemic of obesity and diabetes and impaired suboptimal health, as a nation. Bisphenol A (BPA, 2,2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane; CAS# 80-05-7) is a chemical used primarily in the manufacture of polycarbonate plastic, epoxy resins and as a non-polymer additive to other plastics. Recent evidence has demonstrated that human and wildlife populations are exposed to levels of BPA which cause adverse reproductive and developmental effects in a number of different wildlife species and laboratory animal models. However, there are major uncertainties surrounding the spectrum of BPA’s mechanisms of action, the tissue-specific impacts of exposures, and the critical windows of susceptibility during which target tissues are sensitive to BPA exposures. As a foundation to address some of those uncertainties, this review was prepared by the “In vitro” expert sub-panel assembled during the “Bisphenol A: An Examination of the Relevance of Ecological, In vitro and Laboratory Animal Studies for Assessing Risks to Human Health” workshop held in Chapel Hill, NC, Nov 28-29, 2006. 

The specific charge of this expert panel was to review and assess the strength of the published literature pertaining to the mechanisms of BPA action. 

However, the primary endocrine disrupting activities of BPA extend beyond its ability to mimic, enhance or inhibit the activity of endogenous estrogens and/or disrupt estrogen nuclear hormone receptor action, and include the following: effects upon the androgen systems [22–29]; disruption of thyroid hormone function [30–40]; diverse influences on development, differentiation and function of the central nervous system [40–46]; and influences on the immune system [21,47–65]. Association of Carotid Plaque Lp-PLA2 with Macrophages & Infection

The significant association of plaque Lp-PLA2 with plaque macrophages and C. pneumoniae suggests an interactive role in accelerating inflammation in atherosclerosis. A possible mechanism for C. pneumoniaein the atherogenic process may involve infection of macrophages that induce Lp-PLA2 production leading to upregulation of inflammatory mediators in plaque tissue. Toxins in umbilical cord blood

Linda’s comments:  I don’t know about you but I hold guilt for not educating myself before I began my family.  Unborn fetus’s are the toxic garbage can for the mom’s.  If that is not enough then we jab our babies with more toxins from vaccines, feed them processed foods and junk and we wonder why there is childhood obesity and illness.  We have got to stop thi run away train…..Mom’s can begin a detox protocol prior to getting pregnant and continue cleaning up their bodies after they get pregnant, to protect the unborn babies.  Dr Gordon is right, we MUST focus on lowering our total body burden of pathogens and toxins.  This is an on going battle and we MUST began a program to help protect our health..

We cannot hope to know much about the over 3000 high-volume chemicals we are all increasingly carrying in our bodies.

I suggest that we stick with lowering known toxins, like lead and mercury and dioxins and PCB’s in everyone that chooses to optimize their health and/or improve their response to other treatment for their condition. That way we will be helping everyone, since if those toxins, which for lead and mercury have NO safe levels and are provably present in everyone today, are significantly reduced, our body’s natural defenses will be better able to handle the other toxins we know very little about and cannot even measure.
