This study shows then that current prostate cancer treatments are also largely useless!”
Dr. Gordon’s comments:
It is now official that PSA testing, as now used, is wasting time and money and accomplishing nothing! This study shows then that current prostate cancer treatments are also largely useless! This could be the beginning of the end for mainstream cancer treatment.

We already knew that breast cancer treatment is failing. We have lots of data showing mammograms do more harm than good and radiation is not helpful for most breast cancer patients and axillary lymph node dissection does more harm than good. Now men are learning that the nonsense of removing your prostate and radiating it and using all the drugs they are given, all of which destroys any quality of life, and is not making a big difference over doing nothing.

Now we have an official report that prostate cancer treatment based on PSA is a total waste of time. The urologists will be very upset to lose their lucrative racket. No man likes to live with the fact that he has prostate cancer so it is easy to talk them into all kinds of useless and dangerous treatments, no matter how devastating the side effects of surgery are.

Amazingly no one ever mentions how easy it is to bring PSA into safe ranges and keep it there for life with the FIGHT program, as documented by Dr Kobayashi in his ten year World without Cancer study! That approach makes no money for specialists and is just too simple for our radiation oncologists and surgeons to recommend. The simple ideas that by exercising, and lowering stress, stop smoking, simplify diet, get more sleep, use some natural products to boost immune function will provide a far better outcome than surgery radiation and chemo just does not have widespread appeal.

All we need to do is get on prostate support herbs like Saw Palmetto, PYGEUM, etc. and, if really motivated to get healthy, take my Power Drink and Beyond Chelation-Improved and use some Far Infra Red Sauna treatments to help get toxins out. There is no future in that for our big prostate cancer industry; they will continue to lie and pretend that the cancer is just in the prostate area.

The Johnson and Johnson cancer blood test continues to find those prostate cancer cells in the peripheral blood. In one study, in 2/3 of the patients who had been told that their cancer was only in the prostate so removing it would eliminate their cancer for once and always, that was not true. As we know cancer is a systemic disease and needs systemic treatment, as Kobayashi proved in Tokyo.

Cancer screening tests are very useful if we keep the patients out of the hands of the surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists. Abnormal tests go back to healthy ranges and stay there if the patient is on an adequate health promoting program. The PSA test, properly used, rewards patients for taking better care of themselves, but with the tendency of patients to not accept the fact that by age 60 sixty percent of men have prostate cancer that will not kill them, they are suckers for doing something , particularly since insurance pays for it. Doctors do little to warn them about how inconvenient incontinence and impotence are for the rest of their life. They need to know that aggressive treatment is not extending their life, so why not focus on getting healthy and doing the exercise and life style changes that do work every time and do help keep PSA levels in healthy ranges.

Prostate treatments are shown to have problems but most patients will not be told about the lack of proven benefit from aggressive treatment but you need to let them know that this committee found PSA testing is useless, as currently used by mainstream medicine. The interventions they recommend can lead to infections, impotence and incontinence so critics say the risks of testing often outweigh the benefits.

My detox based FIGHT program has no downside and is relevant to all age-related chronic diseases. We can bring most cancer screening tests into safer, healthier ranges using my FIGHT program, which is based on ten years of work by Dr Kobayashi where none of the 10,000 subjects died of cancer. His paper is called World without Cancer and is on my website www.gordonresearch.com.

Panel Faults Widely Used Prostate-Cancer Test

BY JENNIFER CORBETT DOOREN AND THOMAS M. BURTON

A key federal advisory panel is poised to recommend that healthy men shouldn’t be screened with a widely used blood test for prostate cancer, indicating that the test offers more harm than benefit.

Get Your LYFE Back: Vote with Your Fork

Everybody has thought of it, but no one has done it. And we desperately need it!
How do we get food that tastes better than what you find in almost any restaurant or chain in America for a fraction of the cost? How do you “eat good, feel good and do good” when you eat your lunch?

Imagine eating food that delights your palette, heals your body, and supports the transformation of our agriculture and food supply by networking and supporting small, local, organic and clean farmers and fisheries. Imagine eating dishes spiced with herbs grown in the middle of the restaurant.

Sick Teenage Brians – With Dr. Gordon’s Comments http://lymebook.com/fight/sick-teenage-brians-with-dr-gordons-comments/ http://lymebook.com/fight/sick-teenage-brians-with-dr-gordons-comments/#respond Wed, 02 Mar 2011 16:40:24 +0000 http://lymebook.com/fight/?p=2212 Mental illness in our young is epidemic. Does anyone believe that administering another toxic substance to an obviously already very toxic brain is the best approach long-term?

With our health care “system” we just hang a label on the disturbed youngster and start trying all the chemical straight jacket medications to see which is tolerated, in spite of frightening statistics about adverse effects including violent behavior that often appears.
Everyone shows known chemicals and heavy metals that today when tested, as
www.ewg.org paid for on the “Ten Americans’ study of ten babies chosen at random across the USA and widely reported on the internet. It was also discussed in depth on CNN special on Toxic America that you can still watch any day on mywww.gordonresearch.com website.

This is the state of psychiatry today. Your child acts badly so you are forced to see a psychiatrist who has to hang a label from the big book of diagnoses to get paid. Now you are on a one-way street to a life of lost opportunity, as there is no insurance that will pay for treating the causes as I explain with ten hours of in-depth webinars on my
website about my FIGHT program!

This great review of this topic by my friend and master
researcher/writer/physician, Dr Sherry Tenpenny, can help you and folks
you know search for a way out of this mess.

NaturalNews) It’s been nearly a month since the nation’s attention was focused on Tucson, where five were killed and 13 injured , including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, several other shootings missed the mainstream news. Violence seems to be erupting among youths everywhere, from Los Angeles(1) to Omaha(2) to Brooklyn(3) – indicating something is seriously going wrong in the minds of young persons in this country.

Why Young Brains Are Sick
The list of assailing particles on children is long, and starts with chemical exposure in the womb. In July, 2005, the Environmental Working Group released a hallmark study using cord blood to assess the chemical exposure of neonates in-utero. The placenta has long been thought to shield the developing baby from pollutants in the environment. The study’s alarming results dispelled this as a wishful myth. Of the 287 chemicals identified in the umbilical cord blood of 10 infants, 180 were known carcinogens, 217 were toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 have been associated with birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests. The study concluded that, “the dangers of pre- or post-natal exposure to this complex mixture of carcinogens, developmental toxins and neurotoxins have never been studied.”(4)

Within hours of emerging from the womb, a newborn is given a dollop of antibiotics in the eyes, injected with the hepatitis b vaccine, with known neurotoxic properties,(5)and jabbed with a vitamin K shot, which contains 9 mg of benzyl alcohol. In 1992, Golding published concerns that vitamin K injections could be associated with a doubled risk of malignant disease in children, particularly leukemia. While there have been considerable doubts about whether the association is coincidental or causal, the controversy has never been completely resolved.(6)

Starting around the 60th day of life, infants with still immature immune systems are subjected to a battery of vaccines: DTaP, HiB, polio, Prevnar, and a squirt of oral rotavirus vaccine, all generally given at the same time. The onslaught of these shots, including two additional injections of hepatitis b vaccine, repeats twice, every 60 days. This deposits approximately 66 different viral or bacterial antigens and measurable amounts of a dozen different chemicals into a six month old infant.

By the time a child is five years old, a little 40 pound human will receive up to 35 injections, containing at least 110 different weakened pathogens (or pathogen particles), and an assortment of 59 different chemicals. If all approved shots are administered, the little tot will also be injected with stray viral DNA, four types of animal cells, cells from aborted fetal tissue and a bit of human albumin (a foreign protein.) By the way, all of these substances are listed on package inserts for each vaccine.

A Tale of Two Mice
In this audio slide show, Dr. Dana Dolinoy of Duke University explains the role that the epigenome, a sort of second genome, plays in regulating the expression of our genes. As Dolinoy notes, we can no longer say with certainty whether genetics or the environment have a greater impact on our health, because the two are inextricably linked through the epigenome.

Posted: July 1, 2008
CHAPTER 1: THE AGOUTI SISTERS

DANA DOLINOY: Hi, I’m Dr. Dana Dolinoy, a post-doctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Randy Jirtle at Duke University. In our laboratory we study epigenetic gene regulation, or how environmental exposures interact with the epigenome to affect long-term health and disease.

So today I’d like to introduce you to two Agouti mice. And as you can see, the yellow mouse is quite obese, and she is also prone to diabetes and cancer. But on the other hand, the brown mouse remains slender and lean and also has a lower risk of developing disease.
But what’s really amazing about these two mice are that they are genetically identical — they are two identical twin sisters from the same mother. So what makes them look so different?

CHAPTER 2: THE EPIGENOME

DANA DOLINOY: Well, it turns out that there’s a second genome called the epigenome. Epigenome literally means, in addition to, or above, the genome, and while the recently completed human genome project identified approximately 25,000 genes, these genes still need instructions for what to do and when to do it and where to do it, and that’s where the epigenome comes into play.

A useful analogy is to think of the epigenome as the software that directs the genomic hardware of a computer. All of our cells contain the same DNA and genes, but it is the epigenome that decides how these genes are expressed and determines how a cell becomes a heart cell, a liver cell or even a hair cell.

Epigenetics consists of molecular switches and markers, such as DNA methylation, that help control gene regulation in which a quartet of atoms called a methyl group attaches to DNA and shuts down genes. And as you can see the red balls here are attaching to the DNA and turning off the gene.

CHAPTER 3: THE ELUSIVE AGOUTI

DANA DOLINOY: So back to the Agouti sisters. In the yellow obese mouse, the Agouti gene is unmethylated and turned on all the time, while in the brown mouse, the gene is completely methylated and shut down. There are also other mice that appear mottled in which half of the cells are methylated and shut down, and the other half are unmethylated and turned on, and these mice appear to be yellow and brown. So the coat colors of these Agouti mice acts like a sensor for the amount of DNA methylation present.

We used the Agouti mice to study how maternal nutrients and environmental factors affect the epigenome. Specifically, we wanted to know whether a mom’s exposure to a contaminant found everywhere in the environment can alter the fetal epigenome, and eventually the long-term fate of her offspring.

In the study, pregnant mothers were exposed to a common chemical found in certain plastics. This chemical is called bisphenol-A, or BPA for short, and it’s present in many commonly used products, including food and beverage containers, baby bottles, dental sealants and the lining of food cans.

About four years ago, the CDC studied approximately 400 people, and in 95 percent of these 400 people, they measured detectable levels of bisphenol-A. And when we fed the pregnant mothers, the mice, BPA, we noticed that the number of offspring with the yellow obese coat color increased dramatically, and we also saw that maternal exposure to this chemical decreased DNA methylation in the offspring and turned this Agouti gene on when it is supposed to be off.

CHAPTER 4: BREEDING HEALTHY PUPS

DANA DOLINOY: So we started a second study in which pregnant mothers were exposed to BPA plus nutritional supplementation such as methyl donors like folic acid or genistein, which is a common ingredient found in soy products. The level of soy that we provided is similar to what a person who eats a high soy diet or an individual living in Asia might eat.
And once we did this, we observed that the offspring were no longer predominantly yellow and more obese, and that there were more offspring with the slender brown coat color phenotype. This indicates that maternal nutrient supplementation can counteract the negative effects of exposure to that chemical.

CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSIONS

DANA DOLINOY: The traditional thinking about human health and disease is that it is affected by genetics and the environment, and whenever identical twins have different disease status, this was often attributed to the environment or different behavioral choices such as smoking status.

But with epigenetic gene regulation, we can see that we can no longer say whether genetics or the environment have a bigger impact, because it may be not only what you were exposed to, but what your mother and potentially grandparents were exposed to as well. And maybe even your father.

These studies with the agouti mice show us that we can no longer say whether genetics or the environment have a greater impact on our health, because the two are inextricably linked through the epigenome. This work suggests in the future that we may be able to protect individuals from negative epigenetic profiles, either by modifying the diet or developing drugs that can affect epigenomic profiles, although we’re several years away from doing this.
