Treatment of Oral Spirochetes with a CO2 laser

In my book, I mention the use of the DEKA CO2 laser. Here is a video that demonstrates its use and shows the microscopic evidence of successful treatment. The CO2 laser has a wavelength of 10,600 and is absorbed in water. It vaporizes tissue with very little disconfort and heals without much pain. Patients are usually confortable the next day.
