These symptoms can linger long after a person feels “mostly good” recovering from Lyme disease. Obviously, these symptoms are lifestyle-limiting and prevent people from staying active.

Glucosamine chondroitin is one supplement that holds benefit to treat this issue. I like this brand. Note that it does contain shellfish. There are several brands which avoid shellfish, as well.

But today I’m telling you about a different kind of joint supplement which holds great promise and which I’ve personally found to provide good results. It’s made from Natural Eggshell Membrane (NEM). Studies show that it decreases TNF-Alpha and Cytokine production, so it also may have anti-inflammatory, regulatory effects for ongoing Lyme symptoms, which makes it have more bang-for-the-buck.

Research indicates that NEM can help repair joints and reduce joint-related symptoms.

The brand of NEM which I’ve used and find helpful is this brand, by Redd Remedies.

I’ll be doing some future articles, as well, on new and novel joint health compounds. This is, as far as I’m concerned, one of the “final frontiers” in Lyme disease treatment and recovery. After many symptoms have diminished, joint issues often remain. I also suggest people try pulsed EMF, such as what the MRS-2000 magnetic mat offers. Of course, stretching, moderate exercise, keeping weight under check, avoiding inflammatory foods like sugar, and many other interventions can be helpful.

Lastly, don’t miss the new, special type of Curcumin I recommended last month – this also has very useful effects for joint health. Curcumin is just so important on so many levels, it really should be a front-line supplement for most people.

Please share your results with these supplements in the comments section below. And remember to check with your doctor before using them.

Disclaimer: please consult a physician before using any of the supplements described here. I am a reporter, not a doctor.
