Fitness, diet, exercise, & hormones – these are all topics that become more and more important for recovering Lyme sufferers, because as our bacterial loads decrease, and as we age, these issues move to the forefront. I’m shocked by how few people really understand these issues and have good information on them.
This is a topic I’ll be spending A LOT of time on in this journal – maybe more time than any other topic. What’s interesting is that this topic is equally applicable to everyone who is aging and who has some level of dysfunction in their bodies (everyone!). Here’s good primer for men, while you wait for me to post more information.
Realize that to optimize these areas, MAJOR lifestyle changes are required. You basically have to look at life in a new way. It takes time, so don’t be hard on yourself. But these kinds of changes are very necessary. I also suggest reading this free chapter from one of the books we publish, as adrenal issues are very closely tied in to this area of healing.
