LINDA’S COMMENT:  Lyme disease is a vector-borne multisystem inflammatory disease caused by the spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato.  So many folks suffer from peripheral nerve palsy.

Lyme disease is a vector-borne multisystem inflammatory disease
caused by the spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato. This
disease is frequently seen in North America and to a lesser
degree in Europe. However, its presence in England is uncommon
and we present a case in which the patient developed a palsy of
the common peroneal nerve.
