Aspartame Toxicity with Betty Martini

LINDA comment:   Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy can disappear when you stop drinking Aspartame….problem is, it is difficult to get one’s head wrapped around this….believe it or not, there are doctors, whom I might add are very smart about many things, they continue to drink Aspartame and not inform their patients…..NOW THAT IS SCARY…..Like Betty says, just give it up for 60 days….Aspartame is VERY VERY addicting… I know, I had a personal addiction to it….was horrible to get off of…. I was sooooooooooo sick…diarrhea, vomiting, rash, anxiety, sweating, horrible body pain, the shakes…HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE….I even had to take benadryl shots around the clock to cut down the hives….my doctors said withdrawals from Aspartame is as bad as heroine addiction….    THANK GOD I GOT OFF IT….

Hi David,
What you read could be the case. I’ve seen it both ways. You can’t really predict because it takes in many factors like how long you have been on aspartame. what types you are using, and if you’re still getting some accidentally. As I told you Stuart Pape of the National Yoghurt Association has even petitioned the FDA to allow aspartame unlabeled n dairy and yogurt and the FDA has yet to answer one way or the other and I’ve asked twice. People can get it if they are using processed foods as many times it’s hidden in artificial and natural flavors. So many doctors do provide treatment for aspartame victims which does not work. As Dr. Roberts has explained many times, patients go from doctor to doctor having needless surgery and studies and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars when nothing is going to work until they get off aspartame.

As a ballpark figure, we tell victims to get off aspartame for 60 days because by that time if they pay attention to diet and don’t get anymore of the poison a lot of symptoms by that time have vanished. There are some who get off aspartame, and even though they go through withdrawal symptoms, immediately have peripheral neuropathy and other problems disappear. Since you have used it for 20 years, it could take a few weeks to get rid of. I had not remembered you said 20 years but I would suggest you keep a diary. I remember there was one physician who had peripheral neuropathy and I think it took him about 5 weeks to get rid of the neuropathy, and his other symptoms vanished in that time too. Dave Rietz who founded www.dorway.com against aspartame had joint pain and peripheral neuropathy. He died from aspartame but he went to 12 physicians who were clueless when he was suffering so badly. Then he saw the list of 92 symptoms on the FDA report and got off of it. Immediately the vast numbers of problems due to aspartame including peripheral neuropathy disappeared. However, it was the prostate cancer from aspartame that killed him. Dr. George Schwartz , toxicologist wrote a paper on it. Aspartame literally destroyed his life. After abstaining he even lost 50 lbs, the joint pain and peripheral neuropathy immediately disappeared. His eyesight improved as well and memory loss and brain fog

If you google aspartame and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy you’ll see the link. Also aspartame disease has many times mimicked Lyme Disease. Here is one article you might want to read. This physician says Aspartame locks the Lyme Disease spirochete into the body. http://www.samento.com.ec/sciencelib/addons/lymeRichler.htmThen you might want to read Dr. James Bowen’e paper on Lyme Disease and aspartame: Lyme Disease is Sexually Transmitted and Reactivated by aspartame.http://www.rense.com/general5/lyme2.htm

Aspartame is hideously poisonous and can trigger or precipitate so many diseases its no wonder Dr. Roberts wrote a 1000 page medical text, Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, www.aspartameispoison.com He had to even cut it down 40% in the beginning because it was too big to publish. Now he says it will take 200 pages to bring it up-to-date with all the new studies.

You have the link to Dr. Coldwell’s detoxification and Dr. Blaylock’s paper, “What to do if you have used aspartame”. That’s the way to begin. I’m sure there is a physician’s report on any problem you have from aspartame. So let me know and I’ll help provide you with the reports.

All my best,
Betty

Alert of the Week: We Need Labels on GM Foods Now

Full article: http://www.organicconsumers.org/bytes/ob229.htm#SEC2

Excerpt:

Gen-M, the first Monsanto Generation of humans force-fed genetically modified foods hasn’t reached reproductive age yet (they were born in the late 1990s). But, if a critical mass of animal feeding studies are any indication, the millennial generation, reared on Food Inc.’s unlabeled “Frankenfoods” can look forward to a long-term epidemic of cancer, food allergies, learning disabilities, sterility, and birth defects.

Corn (85% of U.S. production is GM), soy (91% GM), cotton (88% GM), canola (85% GM) and sugar beets (95% GM) are all genetically engineered by Monsanto to withstand massive doses of the company’s glyphosate herbicide RoundUp, or else to exude their own pesticide, Bacillus Thuriengensis (Bt). RoundUp, the favorite weedkiller poison of non-organic farmers and gardeners, causes brain, intestinal and heart defects in fetuses. And scientists warn that RoundUp, the most extensively used herbicide in the history of agriculture, “may have dire consequences for agriculture such as rendering soils infertile, crops non-productive, and plants less nutritious.” In addition, hundreds of thousands of US dairy cows are injected with genetically engineered Bovine Growth Hormone (developed by Monsanto) in spite of studies linking BGH with cancer, and longstanding bans on the drug in the EU, Japan, Canada, and most industrialized nations.

With genetically modified foods and crops threatening public health and the environment, not to mention the next generation’s reproductive capacity, why isn’t there a massive consumer outcry to restrain Monsanto’s biotech bullying and ban genetically engineered foods and agriculture?

The answer is disturbingly simple. Collusion between Monsanto and elected public officials (including the current Obama Administration) has obscured the fact that almost all non-organic foods in the US contain GMOs. Despite poll after poll indicating that 85-95% of US consumers want mandatory labels on foods containing GMOs, Congress has heretofore listened to Monsanto and corporate agribusiness, rather than their own constituents. In the European Union, Japan, or South Korea, where GM foods must be labeled, there are no GM foods on grocery story shelves (and little or none served in restaurants), since most consumers would not buy them and a significant number would complain if they saw GMO labels on products. Consequently there are very few GM crops being cultivated in the EU (mainly a small amount of corn in Spain for animal feed).

Most Americans simply do not understand that 80% of non-organic supermarket processed foods (basically every product containing soy, corn, canola, cottonseed oil, or sugar beet derivatives) are contaminated with GMOs. While nearly everyone in North America has eaten genetically modified foods, only 26% believe that they have.

Marketing push targets bioengineered food

Linda’s comment:  We the consumer need to FIGHT back against the marketing that targets bioengineered food, AND support those who market NON-GMO foods.  We need to DEMAND that we have labeling that tells us if the product is GMO engineered!!  I try and eat organically, but that is not always possible….We are lucky here in the Phoenix, Arizona area, as there are more and more Farmer’s Market’s sprouting up and new organic restaurants opening up.

WE the consumer need to learn to JUST SAY NO to this garbage foods….if we don’t buy it, the industry will stop making it….Just because it says NON-GMO look for the words “corn syrup”….
They are putting this toxin in most foods.

The nice thing about the life-long daily detox protocol called FIGHT, ithelps to neutralize the bad things that we eat.  However, it s still our job as consumers to JUST SAY NO TO GMO.

No, it’s not a social networking site or a new dance. It stands for “genetically modified organisms” and if you’re like most Americans, you probably don’t know what it means or that many of the foods you eat contain GMOs.

Food marketers are trying to change that. By the fall, as many as 200 products — including Nature’s Path, Lundberg Family Farms and Earth Balance — will hit store shelves carrying a new “Non-GMO Project” food label, certifying that an independent lab has tested and confirmed the product contains no bioengineered ingredients.

Whole Foods will roll out an in-store educational campaign backed by Web site articles and newsletters — touting non-GMO foods.

“The public is becoming more aware,” says Libba Letton, spokeswoman for the 297-store chain. “Consumers are wanting to be educated about it and wanting to make informed choices.”

While labeling of genetically modified food is common overseas, especially in Europe, it is practically unheard of in the United States, where big agricultural producers long have argued that such products are no different than traditional crops.

“There is no inkling of anything that says it’s not safe,” says Sharon Bomer, the Biotechnology Industry Association’s executive vice president for food and agriculture.

GMOs first appeared in 1995, and today bioengineered seeds are used in 81 percent of corn crops, 91 percent of soybean crops and 95 percent of sugar beet crops. Genetically modified foods are used in most processed foods and as feedstock for most cattle and chickens.
