XMRV with comments by Dr. Gordon

Linda’s comments:  Unfortunately XMRV is “real”….

Dr. Gordon’s Comments: Many still hope that XMRV is just a bad dream. Read this and you may conclude that it is real. It makes my F.I.G.H.T. program all the more prescient, as it is based on reality.  There is always some chronically increased body burden of pathogen is almost every chronic disease.

Fortunately we can keep down the cost of medical care and just tell these chronic fatigue patients it is all in their head and prescribe an antidepressant and not be guilty of malpractice because that is the”  standard of care” just to treat the symptoms and ignore the causes.

For those that want to learn more, I have an hour webinar on infection on mywww.gordonresearch.com  website, as well as an hour on all the components Food, Infection, Genetics, Heavy Metals, Hormones and Toxins.

Of course we cannot afford medical care that treats those causes but at least it is nice to learn what the truth is and why so many people are chronically ill today.  Infection is one part of the puzzle and yet 99% of all patients cannot even get a test for lead or mercury levels to say nothing of even considering one or more chronic infections when they present with all this fatigue. Antidepressants get the patient out of the office in the allotted 10 minutes or less.

American Red Cross Statement on XMRV and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

WASHINGTON, Friday, December 03, 2010 — At present, there are no specific federal recommendations regarding deferral of individuals with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) or other diseases that have been associated with Murine Leukemia Virus-related virus (XMRV) infection. Nevertheless, in the interest of patient and donor safety, the American Red Cross will defer indefinitely any donor who reveals during the donor interview that they have been diagnosed with CFS.

XMRV infection has been associated in some studies with prostate cancer and chronic fatigue syndrome, but at the present time these disease associations have yet to be confirmed.

There is currently insufficient data to conclude that XMRV is transmitted through blood transfusion. However, the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Task force is conducting research to determine the frequency of the virus in the donor population, whether it is transfusion-transmitted, and whether recipients become infected and develop the disease.

Ending the Food Fight: Guide Your Child to a Healthy Weight

Obesity is the issue but how to personalize your approach may be as easy as getting a GTT with insulin measurements and those that are high insulin secretors go on low glycemic food diet.

This book by David Ludwig is $10.17 and is endorsed by the who’s who in real science of nutrition like Walter Willett so is worth getting. Consider letting Amazon send you the book by Ludwig on ENDING THE FOOD FIGHT.

Then enjoy the rest of the information here from Dr Mark Hyman by going to this link at bottom.

Of course, you might also want to go to www.ilgenetics.com and do the gene test to see how that correlates since they documented twice the weight loss on the same calorie intake when you use their test to determine who must be primarily plant based I.E. Pritikin and who does better on the Atkin’s approach.

Despite the common observation that obesity runs in families, genetic research shows that the habits you inherit from your family are more important than the genes you inherit. Obesity genes account for only five percent of all weight problems. Then, we have to wonder, what causes the other 95 percent of weight problems?

We are seeing an epidemic of obesity in America today. It is the single most important public health issue facing us. If genes do not account for obesity, perhaps it is our high-fat diet that is to blame. That has been the common belief in our society since nutritional low fat guidelines were pushed upon us in the 1970’s. It seems logical that eating fat makes you fat. Fat contains nine calories per gram, so it would seem that eating more fat (and more calories) would make you gain weight. But that’s not what the science reveals.
Pioneering research by Harvard Medical School’s David Ludwig reveals the reason that low-fat diets do not work — and identifies the true cause of obesity for most Americans. Dr. Ludwig’s research explains the real reasons 70 percent of Americans are overweight. In the 1980’s not one state had an obesity rate over 20 percent. In 2010, ONLY one state has an obesity rate UNDER 20 percent. This is not a genetic problem.

What the Research Tells Us about Dietary Fat
In a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (i) Dr. Ludwig correctly points out that careful review of all the studies on dietary fat and body fat — such as those done by Dr. Walter Willett of the Harvard School of Public Health — have shown that dietary fat is not a major determinant of body fat.

Let me repeat that. Dietary fat is not a major determinant of body fat.
The Women’s Health Initiative, which is the largest clinical trial of diet and body weight, found that 50,000 women on low-fat diets had no significant weight loss. Yet another study looked at people who followed four different diets for 12 months — and found no dramatic differences between those who followed low-fat, low-carb and very- low-carb diets.
The question then is, why aren’t we seeing any significant effects or differences from these various diets? The main reason, Dr. Ludwig suggests, is that we are looking for answers in the wrong place.

Dr. Gordon’s Webinars – Watch Now, Free of Charge!

The following page was set up for people to listen to what Dr. Gordon has to say about the importance of finding a “LifeLong Daily Detox” protocol that you can stick to.  I have been on this protocol for over 1 1/2 years and let me tell you IT WORKS.

As a Lyme patient I have been dissolving biofilms and reducing the inflammation chronically ill patients have to deal with.  Reducing your total body burden of pathogens and toxins is important in any wellness journey.  Are you tired of having muscle and joint pain?  Would you like to enjoy that organic cup of coffee ?

It is well worth the time to listen to the Webinar’s that Dr Gordon presented on his outstanding F.I.G.H.T. protocol.  Having battled (5) Cancers and (2) Lyme infections, as well as a host of other health care problems I’m grateful that I found the FIGHT protocol.

The Dangers of Triclosan: A Common Anti-Bacterial Ingredient

Linda’s Comment:   I know some of you get tired of my preaching about learning to read labels, but this is a very good example of how important it is….!!!  This is just “one” example of the toxins they are finding in our bodies it has EVEN  been identified as a contaminant in umbilical cord.  I talk all the time about the moms unborn babies being the toxic dump for the mom.  This article explains this very well. It is disgusting how our government allows industry to continue to dump these products into our cosmetics and personal-care products. “A team of researchers in April 2005 reported that some toothpastes and soaps create a chloroform gas when the triclosan in these products reacts with chlorinated tap water.” Good Lord our children are swallowing this….it is no wonder there is a rise in Cancers.

While this appears dismal, we CAN do something about this.  WE CAN STOP purchasing products with Triclosan in them and start making LOUD noises, to our elected officials to get more control on the industry.
Excerpt:

Water testing studies by the U.S. Geological Survey have found that triclosan is among the top 10 persistent contaminants in U.S. rivers, streams, lakes, and underground aquifers. Of related concern, triclosan persists in the environment, accumulating as it passes up the food chain to our bodies, and contributes to reduced resistance to antibiotics.

Unexpected volatility has been documented when the triclosan in liquid soaps and other household products comes into contact with water, as would happen during common use. At Virginia Tech University, a team of researchers in April 2005 reported that some toothpastes and soaps create a chloroform gas when the triclosan in these products reacts with chlorinated tap water. Triclosan also interacts with free chlorine in tap water and degrades under sunlight to produce chloroform, which is both toxic and carcinogenic following inhalation or skin absorption, particularly while bathing in warm water.

Triclosan, has been shown to produce toxic hormonal effects, known as endocrine disruption, on the development of the thyroid gland in tadpoles, and on sex ratios and fin length in fish. Lab studies on rats have shown that triclosan is toxic to normal liver enzymes. In humans, this preservative has been linked to allergies, asthma, and eczema.

Of further concern, triclosan has been identified as a contaminant in umbilical cord samples collected by Greenpeace International and Britain’s World Wifeline Fund. Furthermore, surveys in Sweden have also identified triclosan in the breast milk of 60 percent of women tested.

Organic produce is nutritionally superior to so-called “conventional” produce

Linda’s comments:  This is a great article on how to purchase organic produce and why it is important to do your best to eat organic.  I’m sure you have seen these BIG wooden tubs that folks use to plant flowers in?  These are perfect for your patio to plant your own organic produce, plus it isn’t on the ground to break your back bending over weeding, and feeding your plants…..I use chicken wire to protect it from rabbits, etc.  Zip ties are great for hooking it around the planter….Find your local organic farmers.  They are popping up all over Arizona, plus the Farmers Markets are growing like wild fire….

NaturalNews) Organic produce is nutritionally superior to so-called “conventional” produce, according to a comprehensive review conducted by researchers from the University of Aix-Marseille for the French food agency (AFSSA) and published in the journal Agronomy for Sustainable Development.

“This critical literature review indicates that organic agriculture, as developed until now, has the potential to produce high-quality products with some relevant improvements in terms of anti-oxidant phytomicronutrients, nitrate accumulation in vegetables and toxic residue levels,” the researchers wrote.

To be recognized as “organic,” a food product must be produced without the use of genetic modification or chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and must promote sustainable cropping methods. In the United States, organically produced meat and dairy must be raised without the use of synthetic growth hormones or antibiotics. Hormones and antibiotics are banned in animal production across the board in the European Union.

CHRONIC Low Level Lead Toxicity and our Health

Linda’s Comment:  Dr Garry Gordon has had a great deal of anxiety over the amounts of heavy metal toxins that we are being exposed to on a daily basis….Dr Gordon developed the FIGHT program to help reduce our load of heavy metals and become more healthy.  Don’t wait until you are a dead person walking.  Do your research and find your own answers.

I personally have been on the FIGHT program for over a year and very happy I did.  For those of us with chronic illness like Lyme disease, we must do everything we can from diet, exercise and finding the protocol that will help us to reduce our load of pathogens and toxins.

Come join the discussion and learn how you too can reduce your total body burden of pathogens and toxins.

Linda

CHRONIC Low Level Lead Toxicity and our Health

It seems from this new report that my concerns about chronic lead toxicity are destined to become the concerns of mainstream medicine. All I have to do is live to over 100 and my approach to health problems might become mainstream so perhaps I need to keep working hard to stay ahead of mainstream medicine. Continued
