The Little Princes of Denmark – Why do Danes have smaller nuts than Finns—are toxins to blame?

This disturbing data about testicular cancer, genital malformations, low sperm counts etc is of course only just one facet of the problem.  We all are toxic and the manifestations are hidden due to our genetic and environmental differences.  This is taken from near the end of the attached document.

“Testosterone and other male hormones affect not only the genitalia but the brain as well. In a curious study published in November in the International Journal of Andrology, U.S. researcher Shanna Swan measured young boys’ tendencies toward traditional “male” play. Those boys who played the least with toy guns were exposed to the highest uterine levels of phthalates, as measured earlier in their pregnant moms’ urine. Though no one knows what this might mean for the boys’ future behavior, SWAN says such data suggest that “prenatal exposure to phthalates, even at low environmental levels, can induce profound and permanent changes” in the brain and reproductive organs.

The Little Princes of Denmark
Why do Danes have smaller nuts than Finns—are toxins to blame?

It’s a source of parental pride when baby Buster needs the size “large” penis ring for his circumcision. Mother and father see their child’s life unfold effortlessly: He will be flushed with testosterone, well-hung, and yet (somehow) sensitive to the needs of others—a caring leader of great integrity. But what happens when he comes out with a genital malformation? Continued

Important Information from Dr. Mark Hyman…Must Read!

Linda’s Comment:The webinar on “H” was today and it was outstanding as usual…..it will be on web site in a few days…Go to www.gordonresearch.com …..I have been on the FIGHT program for `1`1/2 years and it WORKS..If you haven’t listen to the first FIGHT webinar’s I suggest you do so….very educational….makes you anxious to clean  up your bodies…

Dr Mark Hyman continues to sound the alarm with useful well organized information that can help us wake our patients up to the clear contributing causes to most poor health. They are suffering from TOXINS in our environment, not a deficiency of some antidepressant, pain medication, and cancer drug or heart medication. We need to wake up before it is too late and learn from Dr Hyman and from my FIGHT program that poor health is multifactorial but always Food sensitivities, Infections, Genetic, Heavy Metals, and Toxins are part of the answer.

Your body may be a toxic waste dump.

Worried? You should be …

We are exposed to 6 million pounds of mercury and the 2.5 billion pounds other toxic chemicals each year.

80,000 toxic chemicals have been released into our environment since the dawn of the industrial revolution, and very few have been tested for their long-term impact on human health. And let me tell you, the results aren’t pretty for those that have been tested …

Acupuncture transmitted infections

Linda’s comments:  Stricter regulation and accreditation requirements are also needed of which I agree with, but the Acupuncture I have had in the past has always been with fresh needles.  However, this should be something that a patient would question.

Acupuncture, which is based on the theory that inserting and manipulating fine needles at specific acupuncture points located in a network of meridians will promote the harmonious flow of “Qi,” is one of the most widely practiced modalities of alternative medicine. Because needles are inserted up to several centimetres beneath the skin, acupuncture may pose risks to patients. One of the most important complications is transmission of pathogenic micro-organisms, from environment to patient or from one patient to another.

In the 1970s and 1980s most infections associated with acupuncture were sporadic cases involving pyogenic bacteria.1 So far, more than 50 cases have been described globally. In most cases, pyogenic bacteria were transmitted from the patient’s skin flora or the environment because of inadequate skin disinfection before acupuncture. In localised infections, meridian specific and acupuncture point specific lesions were typical. About 70% of patients had musculoskeletal or skin infections, usually in the form of abscesses or septic arthritis, corresponding to the site of insertion of the acupuncture needles.1 2 A minority had infective endocarditis, meningitis, endophthalmitis, cervical spondylitis, retroperitoneal abscess, intra-abdominal abscess, or thoracic empyema.3 4

In North Carolina, April is considered the start of tick season

RALEIGH — As the weather warms and walks through tick-laden woods beckon, state officials have confirmed that Wake County is among the North Carolina counties where Lyme disease is a known threat.

The state Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday that in 2009 two cases of the tick-borne disease were found in patients who had not left the county during the 30 days before they contracted the infection.

Four similar cases were confirmed in the state last year, health officials said: one each in Wilkes, Wilson, Pitt and Carteret counties.

Lyme borreliosis in dogs and humans in the USA

Excerpt:

Lyme borreliosis differs in dogs and humans in terms of clinical
outcome following infection, diagnostic approaches, prevention
strategies and treatment recommendations. Nonetheless, serologic
evidence of exposure of dogs to B. burgdorferi agrees with the
geographical distribution of autochthonous transmission of the
agent of Lyme borreliosis, and continued monitoring of exposure
rates in dogs might allow early recognition of geographic
expansion of endemic areas as well as identify hyperendemic areas
where both humans and dogs are at increased risk of infection.

Effectiveness of liquid soap and hand sanitizer against Norwalk virus

Excerpt:

Disinfection is an essential measure for interrupting human norovirus (HuNoV) transmission, but it is difficult to evaluate the efficacy of disinfectants due to the absence of a practicable cell culture system for these viruses. The purpose of this study was to screen sodium hypochlorite and ethanol for efficacy against Norwalk virus (NV) and expand the studies to evaluate the efficacy of antibacterial liquid soap and alcohol-based hand sanitizer for the inactivation of NV on human finger pads. Samples were tested by real-time reverse transcription-quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) both with and without a prior RNase treatment. In suspension assay, sodium hypochlorite concentrations of >or=160 ppm effectively eliminated RT-qPCR detection signal, while ethanol, regardless of concentration, was relatively ineffective, giving at most a 0.5 log(10) reduction in genomic copies of NV cDNA. Using the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard finger pad method and a modification thereof (with rubbing), we observed the greatest reduction in genomic copies of NV cDNA with the antibacterial liquid soap treatment (0.67 to 1.20 log(10) reduction) and water rinse only (0.58 to 1.58 log(10) reduction). The alcohol-based hand sanitizer was relatively ineffective, reducing the genomic copies of NV cDNA by only 0.14 to 0.34 log(10) compared to baseline. Although the concentrations of genomic copies of NV cDNA were consistently lower on finger pad eluates pretreated with RNase compared to those without prior RNase treatment, these differences were not statistically significant. Despite the promise of alcohol-based sanitizers for the control of pathogen transmission, they may be relatively ineffective against the HuNoV, reinforcing the need to develop and evaluate new products against this important group of viruses.

Explaining Unexplained Illnesses by Martin Pall, PhD

Linda’s comments:  I attended a lecture by Dr Martin Pall regarding NO/ONOO and found it extremely interesting.  You can google him and get a large number of articles by Dr Pall.  Well worth your reading time.

Excerpt:

We are excited to present information from the forthcoming book by Martin L. Pall, PhD, who shows that all these conditions – and probably many others – involve the same key biochemical response: elevated levels of nitric oxide (NO) and its oxidant product peroxynitrite (ONOO), which initiate a biochemical vicious cycle. Although the mechanisms underlying this ongoing NO/ONOO cycle are well-documented, Dr. Pall presents new information about how this cycle interacts to produce patterns of symptoms. The theory elegantly answers many questions, including: Continued

Study Shows Soluble Fiber Boosts Immune System

Linda’s comments:  Finally a university does a study and admits they find that Fiber boosts our immune systems.  AND yes, a good Fiber can reduce inflammation associated with obesity related diseases.  The BEYOND FIBER I take has more than just fiber….please go here and read about the fiber I take twice daily… www.longevityplus.com <BEYOND FIBER>  This Beyond Fiber is part of the FIGHT protocol that I have been on for over 1 1/2 years.   I had tried over 15 different fibers before Beyond FIber.  I will never go back.  Healing our cells helps us to recover faster from different infections.

Join the FIGHT team and get healthy!!  Go to www.gordonresearch.com and find the Webinar’s on the F.I.G.H.T. protocol.  I do believe you will be pleasantly surprised what you learn there.  By reducing our total body burden of pathogens and toxins leads us to a healthier life and a happier YOU.

How I Got $8 Glasses

Linda’s comment:  WOW what a deal….I just had to share this…For those of us who struggle financially, this is a great deal….read on…

Full article: http://canadianfinanceblog.com/2010/03/03/how-i-got-8-glasses.htm

Excerpt:

During my teenage years I would get a new pair of glasses every other year. That was when my parents’ benefits allowed them to purchase new glasses for us, so we would update our prescriptions and get a new pair of frames and glasses. I was always so surprised at how much they cost! We were very limited by our choice of glasses, because there was such a big difference between $159 frames and $219 frames, let alone $289 designer frames! So we were stuck with about a dozen options, half of which obviously sucked and the rest were just “meh”. But that was the only way to get glasses, and I needed glasses to see, so I always put up with it.

A couple of years ago in college, I found out that I needed to get new glasses, yet again. At this point, I was no longer underneath my parental coverage, and as such, could not get them to cover the incredibly expensive cost of a new prescription and new glasses. Even if I got “cheap” frames, at about $150, I’d still have to pay for the lenses, which would double the cost to about $300. That was money I simply didn’t have. Luckily, I had been reading a couple of personal finance websites, and one of them mentioned buying glasses online for cheaper. So I looked at a couple of websites, and wandered around online, cautiously collecting information. I was hesitant for a couple of reasons. First, this was a classic “too good to be true” situation. Why would glasses that regularly cost hundreds of dollars be sold for so much cheaper? Something must not be right. Second, even if they were legitimate, how could I guarantee that they would look good on me without trying them on first?

Despite these hesitations, I decided I would rather invest $40 into a potential scam or a crappy pair of glasses rather than drop $300 for glasses I didn’t really like. So I ordered a pair, and I’ve been wearing them everyday for the last two years. They’re awesome.

A clear and present danger: tick-borne diseases in Europe

Linda comments:  How many of you have friends that live or have lived in Europe?  Could they be suffering from tick-borne diseases?
Excerpt:
Ticks can transmit a variety of viruses, bacteria or parasites
that can cause serious infections or conditions in humans and
animals. While tick-borne diseases are becoming an increasing and
serious problem in Europe, tick-borne diseases are also
responsible for major depressions in livestock production and
mortality in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Asia. This
review will focus on the most important circulating
tick-transmitted pathogens in Europe (Borrelia spp., Anaplasma
phagocytophilum, Babesia spp., tick-borne encephalitis virus,
Rickettsia spp. and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus).
