The tick and the time bomb

Linda’s comment:  Thanks to the Colorado Springs INDEPENDENT for presenting this article on Lyme disease.  It presents what is going on today worldwide.  We need more newspapers to come to the Lyme communities rescue and help us get the word out.  I work with thousands of Lymies doing research and helping to guide them to make better healthcare choices.  I personally have battled 2 Lyme infections and have been blessed to live in a state where alternative doctors are licensed to practice <OUTSIDE OF THE BOX>  The one thing I have come to realize is our bodies are so overloaded with pathogens and toxins, that without lifestyle changes, getting rid of the heavy metals, being gluten free, caffeine free, sugar free, alcohol free, fast food free and most importantly GMO FREE, you struggle reaching the level of wellness you desire.  Getting rid of all the above is difficult, since we have industry shoving it in our faces at every turn.  I’m so thankful that I found the FIGHT program that Dr Garry Gordon has developed.  I couldn’t believe how many pathogens and toxins I have dumped over the last year and a half.  I have a long way to go, but I can tell you, I thank God daily for the FIGHT program. 1 in 4 girls have STD’s


Linda’s comment:  Several of us have been trying for years to get the Department of Health to classify Lyme disease as an STD.  Doctors including Lyme Literate Medical Doctors=LLMD’s, are split.  We now know that Lyme can be sexually transmitted.  It makes sense to classify Lyme as STD.  We need to do all we can to help stop the spread of Lyme and Company.  I suggest when talking to your children about their sexual activities, to strongly warn them about the chance of getting sexually transmitted Lyme. Virulence of pathogenic Borrelia

Passage through Ixodes scapularis ticks enhances the virulence of a weakly pathogenic isolate of Borrelia burgdorferi.

Meatless Burger Recipe

Linda’s comment:  Connie Maginnis out did herself with this meatless burger.  I tried this recipe and it is yummmmy.  By using organic products you have a better chance of getting NON-GMO.  My girlfriend made this for her children and they loved it….she didn’t tell them that it was made with beans…<smile>  Give it a try….I cooked it on the grill.

Borrelia burgdorferi Stimulates Macrophages to Secrete Higher Levels of Cytokines

To delineate the inflammatory potential of the 3 pathogenic species of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, we stimulated monocyte-derived macrophages from healthy human donors with 10 isolates each of B. burgdorferi, Borrelia afzelii, or Borrelia garinii recovered from erythema migrans skin lesions of patients with Lyme borreliosis from the United States or Slovenia. B. burgdorferi isolates from the United States induced macrophages to secrete significantly higher levels of interleukin (IL)-8, CCL3, CCL4, IL-6, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor than B. garinii or B. afzelii isolates. Consistent with this response in cultured macrophages, chemokine and cytokine levels in serum samples of patients from whom the isolates were obtained were significantly greater in B. burgdorferi-infected patients than in B. afzelii- or B. garinii-infected patients. These results demonstrate in vitro and in vivo that B. burgdorferi has greater inflammatory potential than B. afzelii and B. garinii, which may account in part for variations in the clinical manifestations of Lyme borreliosis. Vitamin C

Linda’s comments:  I take the BioE’nR-G’y C that Dr Gordon speaks about here.  I have tried over 15 VitC and none could meet the standards of BioE’nR-G’y C….I have NO stomach problems….I also take ONE teaspoon 4 to 5 times daily….there is 4000mg in one teaspoon.  Of course, you have to work up to the dosing that I take.  You can find this C at www.longevityplus.com….
To avoid suboptimal Vitamin C and long term adverse health outcomes, I strongly recommend that you add the use of a vitamin C stick urine test strip to your practice. Continued

Raw Sweet Potato Souffle

Linda’s comment:  I recently tried this Raw Sweet Potato Souffle before Thanksgiving, (didn’t want a flop on Thanksgiving).  It was a success and yummmmy on top of it….I did change a few things and used organic ingredients.  This makes a great holiday change….NO GMO for me thank you….

Raw Sweet Potato Souffle

This recipe was created by our very own Gourmet Raw Foods Chef, Jackie Graff, and is one of the recipes demonstrated recently at our HALLELUJAH ACRES CULINARY ACADEMY. It was absolutely delicious! Serves 4. Continued

Maternal Lyme borreliosis and pregnancy outcome

BACKGROUND: There is disagreement regarding whether Lyme borreliosis is associated with adverse pregnancy outcome.

METHODS: We performed a review of the data from 95 women with Lyme borreliosis during pregnancy, evaluated at the Center for Tick-borne Diseases, Budapest over the past 22 years.

RESULTS: Treatment was administered parenterally to 66 (69.5%) women and orally to 19 (20%). Infection remained untreated in 10 (10.5%) pregnancies. Continued

Recipe: Eggplant Canneloni

This is a gourmet recipe, a compliment from the Tree of Life Café. Enjoy!

Cannelloni:
1 large globe eggplant
½ C olive oil
Thyme or Italian seasoning
Himalayan or Celtic salt

Peel eggplants and slice very thin in a length-wise direction creating large sheets you will use for rolling. Salt eggplants and let sit for an hour. Press liquid out of eggplants. They will release a lot of water. Marinate eggplants overnight in olive oil and herbs.

Filling for cannelloni:
Lay fresh spinach or basil leaves over the eggplant. Use the following seed cheese recipe. Place a little cheeze over the fresh leaves on the bottom half of the marinated eggplant. Lay 4 julienne bell pepper strips red clover and sunflower sprouts on the top of the cheeze sticking out of the ends. Roll and serve or dehydrate for a few hours and serve.

Brazil Nut, Olive and Herb Cheeze:
2 C sunflower
2 C brazil
½ C olive oil
½ C lemon juice
1 T black pepper
¼ t hing
½ C oregano, fresh or dill fresh
¼ C thyme, dry or Italian seasoning
1 t Himalayan salt
2 C olives, kalamatta

Process nuts and seeds to a butter or as much as possible. Add olive oil, lemon, blessed water, hing, black pepper, salt and dried herbs. Process to a creamy consistency. Put into a bowl and mix in olives and herbs by hand.

The prevalence of XMRV in patients with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

The Whittemore Peterson Institute (WPI) has recently published a research study revealing the prevalence of XMRV in patients with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME/CFS, or what has most recently been called, X associated neuro-immune disease (XAND). Continued
